Harry’s Fresh Foods implements
ScanWorks™ from eNSYNC
Customer Profile
Harry’s Fresh Foods, of Portland, OR,
is a specialty manufacturer of pre-prepared foods. Harry’s
is unique because they prepare small batches of each product which
are then quickly refrigerated (Never Frozen) and packaged for the
consumer and Food Service market. “Our products are always
fresh, never frozen. Our natural process allows each product to
safely maintain a fresh refrigerated shelf life of many days under
normal refrigeration - without added preservatives! Because they
don't go through a freeze in our manufacturing process, our ingredients
remain at their best.”
Business Problem
At Harry’s everything is Lot controlled
Raw Material tracking and the issuing of that material to the Shop
Floor is a concern for all Process Manufactures. Harry’s
makes extensive use of Lot Numbers for freshness control so accurate
and timely material tracking and reporting from the preparation
areas, cookers and finished goods warehouse were major objectives
of the project. Harry’s turned to eNSYNC solutions for their
in-depth knowledge of the Distribution and Manufacturing components
within IFS and their “out-of-the-box” bar code solution
for IFS' ScanWorks™.
Solution Delivered
eNSYNC conducted a site survey and requirements
gathering exercise on ScanWorks™ and recommended
several initial transactions from the 30+ pre built standard ScanWorks™
transactions with options for more in the future.

Customer Feedback
“eNSYNC entered our project at a
critical time with creative and practical solutions to our problems.
With a slight modification to their standard picking transaction,
we were able to avoid a more costly modification to IFS. With
ScanWork’s out-of-the-box transactions and eNSYNC’s
knowledge of IFS we were able to meet our aggressive GO-Live
commitment.”
